"Wa Cafe"?

The spirit of Wa

Wa café (和カフェ) is a Japanese-style café rooted in the culture of wa (和) — a word that means harmony, togetherness, and the spirit of Japan itself. Unlike a typical coffee shop or bubble tea spot, a wa café centers around Japanese tea and Japanese sweets. The experience is calm, intentional, and welcoming — inspired by the quiet warmth of Japanese hospitality, without the formality of a traditional tea ceremony.

Tradition, reimagined

At United Matcha, our wa café brings together:

  • Japanese teas — matcha, hojicha, sencha, genmaicha, wakoucha — crafted with care and made approachable for everyone
  • Japanese sweets and ingredients — shiratama, kuromitsu, kinako, white bean paste, mochi — reimagined in modern, fun formats
  • A space where people can slow down, gather, and enjoy something genuinely rooted in Japanese culture

A wa café is not about importing Japan as-is. It’s about translating the best of Japanese tea and sweets culture into something that feels natural and welcoming — wherever you are.

Matcha sauce flows down from a special extruder into a transparent cup. The cup is held in the hand and receives the matcha topping in the form of sauce on top of the matcha cream. Matcha dessert serving process.
